Who we are
Bantaba is a tourism and mobility platform based in The Gambia. We connect travelers with tours, guides, stays, car hire, and rideshare. Our traveler site is gambantaba.com.
Information we collect
- Account: name, email, phone number, and profile details you give us.
- Bookings and trips: excursions, stays, cars, rides, guest names, pickup notes, and special requests.
- Payments: payment references processed by our payment partners. We do not store full card numbers on Bantaba servers.
- Location: when you use rideshare or maps, with your device permission.
- Device and security: device tokens for notifications, IP address, and technical logs to keep accounts safe.

How we use it
We use this information to create your account, complete bookings and rides, send receipts and support messages, prevent fraud, improve tourism and rideshare in The Gambia, and meet legal duties. We do not sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
We share only what is needed with: tour companies, hotels, hosts and guides you book with; drivers for rides you request; payment processors; and service providers who host our systems. We may disclose information if required by Gambian law or to protect safety.
How long we keep it
We keep account and booking records for as long as your account is open and for a reasonable period afterwards for receipts, disputes, and legal requirements. You can ask us to delete your account; some records may be retained where the law requires it.
Your choices
You may update profile details in the app or site, turn off optional location permission on your device, and contact us to access or correct your data, or to close your account.
Children
Bantaba is not directed at children under 16. If you believe we hold data about a child, contact support@gambantaba.com.

Governing law
These documents are governed by the laws of The Gambia. If a court finds one clause unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Nothing here limits rights that Gambian law does not allow you to waive.
